Default Hello Everyone

Hi. My name's Daniel.

I joined NeuroTalk for a group who I can come to for advice on things in my life.

For the past two months, I have been unable to sleep at night. I get migraines and lay awake, and then stay up to keep myself occupied. Sometimes I'll watch television, read, or write. The lack of sleep, though, has really been affecting my GERD. I have terrible acid reflux every day. My headaches also, aren't getting better. I feel fine during the day though - just exhausted, but unable to sleep at night. I always feel as if something has to be done. Can anyone recommend anything for me?

Thanks. I'm glad to be here to talk to everyone.

Welcome to NT! This place is wonderful and everyone here is helpful and kind!

I don't know what GERD is but there'sa forum for headaches and do you have anxiety? I do and the constant feeling of needing stuff done happpens to me. I have sleeping issues too but now the xanax I have helps that.

Hopefully others will chime in and give you more imput.

Again Welcome.

Hi Daniel and Welcome to NeuroTalk. I feel for ya w/the headaches. I have had sinus headaches for the past wk and I feel like cutting my head off. *OK, a lil drastic there, but wanted to let you know that I sympathize w/ya.*

My DD has migraines and I know the pain she is in. She is currently on Topomax (sp) and it is helping to decrease the frequency and severity of them. As far as GERD, AYUP, I've got it and take Aciphex for it (which helps) My DH also takes Aciphex, but he sometimes has to get up in the night and pop some Tums, as it backs up into his esophagus when lying down. Have you seen a Gastro for it? Don't want to mess w/GERD.

Well, hope you make yourself at home here and can find some good info, advice and join in anywhere.
