Default lens from catarac surgery

Hi, Sorry I hadn't answered sooner things have just fallen apart. My eye gradually started to give me trouble. My optromotist said the retna was pressing against my lens and was wearing thin, and was getting light behind the eye, Sometime later I got to where I just couldn't see good and the same day my sight was just gone in that eye.
The lens is still in the back of my eye, which is risky but no choice, and they fitted me for a high powered contact lens, so now I can see. They are just afraid I may get infection in that eye then who knows what I will have to go through with. So far so good.
My neuralgia had come back around this time also, so have been out of pocket. I found a upper cervical chiropractor that has taken care of the neuralgia and won't be back. Would of never thought it was possible. You might check it out as it isn't just for neuralgia. Go on line to:
whattimetuesday.com and check out the upper cervical chiropractor. It is amazing what this doctor is doing. Keep in touch. Myrna

Hello myrna and welcome to NeuroTalk. Yikes! That sounds awful. My DS is near blind and my DD has a younger person's version of Macular Degeneration, so I know a little bit about eye problems, but have never heard of someone's lens doing that. Hope you can get things straightened out soon. Glad you found us and I do hope you'll check out our many forums and join in anywhere.
