Default new here

I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. In December of last year I had a total knee replacement which was supposed to get me up and going to keep up with my kids and grandkids. Instead, I was diagnosed in March with RSD effecting my knee and foot. This is the most discouraging and painful thing I have ever encountered (and I have had many different medical problems throughout the years!). I have had to quite my job, cannot drive at this point, and would love just 1 nite of peaceful, full sleep. I am still trying to learn more about this condition in hopes to get off of these pain pills and be able to go up and down stairs normally! I was very glad to come across this site - it makes me feel I am not alone in this painful condition. Thank you!

Welcome to NeuroTalk.I'm pleased to meet you, but I'm ever so sorry for what you've been through.

We do have an active RSD Forum here, and incase you haven't found it yet, this link will take you there. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum21.html

Hello and Welcome to Neurotalk - you will meet many great and wonderfully supportive people here!!

I am so very sorry that you suffer from RSD - I also suffer from RSD in my left leg and right arm, I have had it since I was 12 years old (I am now 13)

If I can help you in any way, please don't hesitate to ask - I am more than happy to help you in any way I can. I know how scary it is living with RSD.

Take care and I hope to speak to you soon!

Alison
