Default Tim in pain

Hi

I injured my back in early 2004, had lumbar surgery in late 2004. I believe I injured the mid back in the hospital in a fall. I still have back pain and upper front and side leg numbness. I retired in 2007 but my pain and leg condition have prevented my wife and I form enjoying retirement. I am a Canadian from Calgary and the local public medical community's answer to my problem is drugs to numb the pain in the back and put up with the leg numbness. Information here is limited on private surgery or private spinal injections. Does anyone have an opinion on the laser surgery as compared to traditional surgery?
In addition, is anyone aware of any private Canadian facilities that do laser surgery or spinal injections?

Thanks

Tim

Hello Tim and welcome to NeuroTalk. I'm so sorry to hear about the pain you've been in. My husband also suffers from terrible back pain so I have some idea of what you might be going through.

I see you already have directions to the Spinal Forum, so hopefully I'll catch up with you some-where around the board.

Hello Tim and another welcome to NeuroTalk here. Sorry about your back troubles; I know from my own experience, how awful that can be. Hang in there and please make yourself at home here.
