Confused 20 year old with CRPS

I don't really know where to begin. I guess the main thing is I am rather depressed. I've never had a significant health problem in my life and after 8 months of constant infections, I just recently got diagnosed with CRPS as an after effect of all the constant suffering.

Nobody really understands me or what I'm going through. As of now the pain is so severe I may have to take time off from college (which we can't afford so that most likely means quits) and yeah. Sorry to be a sob story, my life has just changed so quickly.

Default Hello 310Girl

Welcome to NT!

You've found a wonderful place for support and understanding.
There are so many people here who completely empathize with what you are going thru.
Depression and chronic pain go hand in hand. It's such a circle of madness And yes, we can end up feeling isolated because our closest friends and loved ones can't comprehend what this is like. CRPS/RSD is a mysterious and misunderstood malady. This is why we have to stick together and build each other back up. There are ways to cope and eventually you'll land a good medical team who will see this for what it is.

I see you've been posting in the CRPS forum. Alot of times CRPS and peripheral neuropathy go hand in hand. MrsD is very knowledged in this type of pain and I'm glad you connected with her. I highly recommend checking out the PN forum, especially at the top of the screen in the section called 'PN, tips, supplements, etc'. You will find a wealth of information.
The RSD folks are wonderful and they will help you get HOPE back.

I'm so happy that you've found us.

Hang in there, ok

Caring
Rae
