Ooo Hi Everyone - new member

Hello there,
I'm glad I've found you
I'm 51, in a dysfunctional marriage I lack the moral courage to get out of. One daughter, the light of my life, who is about to fly the nest on starting University.
I've had fibromyalgia for many years (fortunately not too severe) and suffered from depression, on & off, for even longer.
I was diagnosed as having Bborderline Personality Disorder about 5 years ago, but my symptoms mainly manifest like bipolar. I'm also, increasingly dissociating.
Started having problems with my eyesight about a year ago; finally picked up as almost total loss of 1/4 of visual field in each eye in April; I have just had an MRI & it's dx'd as an aneurysm. Waiting to see consultant.
Gosh, it looks awful all strung together like that; nevertheless I'm quite a cheerful person!

Hi, Beth! Welcome to NeuroTalk!

In addition to Kelly's good advice, I'll offer you a link to our parent site, PsychCentral where you'll find a ton of great information and another message board dedicated to mental health matters.
http://forums.psychcentral.com/

I hope you'll find our community(s) both helpful and supportive. Let us know if we can assist you in any way.

Beth. I am new to NeuroTalk. I have known women with fibromyalgia, of course depression and varying diagnosis including personality distinctions and bipolar. My introductory post of this day is now awaiting some approval.

So difficult it can be when our circumstances or relationships become dysfunctional, or we then feel overburdened from some distinct cause. It sounds as though you have been married for some time, and I'm guessing at considerable loss for some noted comforts or possibly as common sheer appreciation. Unfamiliar with entire nature of these forums, it is my intent to merely respond to your entry the way that I would to any other inquiry or discussion.

Clearly it isn't entirely uncommon for personality disorders, esp. some borderline variety to present symptomology or result into possible interpretation of which could appear otherwise to therapeutic clinicians, even physicians at times. Then again they are trained to discover oddity or peculiarity.

Because you mention some dissociation, perhaps you have felt perpexed or annoyed for a significant amount of time as well, else related symptoms have simply began to annoy you further. I express such because that your post is very suggestive of someone acutely aware of herself, any displeasure or even unfulfilled matters. Yet, as an unmarried individual, obviously I can not relate to the necessary stress associated with loss or perception of need to depart or begin anew. Not my true choice in life, but instead merely the way that my own life evolved, alone much of the time.

Hopefully the internet have been able to avail some comforts to you, it once accomodated me much more. Then again, after about five or more years, crude kind appeared to have came out in full force against individuals, typically craziness or prank upon the internet at times.

Possibly you didn't mind my reply. It is offered with the best of intentions, though I have kept the contents rather brief until such time as I become more acquainted with the forum. Hopefully soon

I sincerely hope that encouragement at mutual communications, even mutual support are both acceptable here in this forum, for I'd like to gradually get to know those of whom I reply to or inquire of.
