Default HD caregiver

I am a caregiver for a friend with HD for whom I provide supplements for managing his condition. I once did the same for a friend with ALS. In my research of the literature, I have come to the conclusion that protein mis-folding cascades underlie a number of neurodegenerative diseases including AD, PD, ALS and HD. Autophagy induction through diet manipulation might prevent or at least delay the onset of these conditions. I have an on-line monograph on the subject if anyone is interested in slogging through it.

Heart Welcome to NT!

Hello and Welcome to Neurotalk - you will meet many great people here who I am sure will be more than happy to help you in anyway they possibly can!!

I have never heard of HD but just wanted to say that I really credit you for looking after someone that is ill and I am sure your friend very much appreciates all of the work you do for him!

Here is the link to the Caregivers section of the forum that you might find useful - everyone there is really nice and friendly and have some great suggestions!:
