I must joined this gorup and I don't know what to do. I have never participated in a forum so perhaps someone out there can give me a few pointers. I am a 60 year old male, recently retired and exept for Parkinson's which I've had for 3 years in good shape. I am now in Florida for 2 months. The drawback to these forums is that they might be to time consuming. I have a lot of interests and on want to participate in certain discussion and perhaps dialogue with select people. I'll submit this and see what if anything happens. Gary Terpstra from Waterloo, ON.

Please note: I am familiar with computers but not forums, so I am working in the dark.

Hi gterpstra and welcome to Neuro Talk. Here is the link to our Parkinsons Forum...http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum34.html

I envy your Florida stay as I'm up here in the snow in Indiana. *grin

Thank you for replying to my "post" (I guess). I am not familiar with forums and how they work so I have to start somewhere. I have Parkinson's (for 3 years). Am doing good but have some trouble sleeping. I woke up at 4 a.m. and thought I'd give this Neurotalk another try. I am determined to see how this all works and fits together. Gary
I am used to emailing. Do you access to my email address?

Hi there Gary, and welcome to NeuroTalk from me as well.

You're doing just fine the way you're going, and if you have questions about Parkinson's disease, just click onto this link and it will take you straight into the PD Forum. You can then pose your questions exactly the same way that you started this thread. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum34.html

You asked about us having access to your email address. I checked out your personal details, and no we don't have that information on public view and I think you'll find it's much better to limit who has your personal email details, especially with a site as big as this one.

It's probably a good idea to keep it secret for now. You can always decide later if you'd like one or two individuals to have your personal email address, without putting your own privacy at risk.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you need any help at all Gary. It's good to have you with us, and you'll soon find that everyone here is more than happy to help should you have any questions.
