Default Burning feet and Lyrica

My doctor has suggesteed that I should start taking Lyrica for 'burning feet' syndrome. Reading through the various threads, I don't see anyone talking about using Lyrica for this condition. Also, several people talked about bad side effects of Lyrica. Has anybody used Lyrica for burning feet. I will aprreciate if any one shed some light on this.

Hum, hello Joseph,

Well, I took lyrica for 10 months and, the worst side effect I had was mydriasis... photofobia... but it worked very well to control my pain... However, one of the reasons I had to stop taking it was I FELT MY FEET WERE BURNING ! So, hum... using it to actually control this just sounded weird to me, but, hum, Im not a doctor...

Good luck !

Lightbulb please visit our Peripheral Neuropathy forum:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...aysprune=&f=20

Please post your medical details too... age, medications,
history etc.

There may be supplements that can work for you.

You may be able to find the cause. Use of drugs like Lyrica (or Neurontin) do not change anything. They only mask symptoms.

Joseph,

Thinking about burning feet... they are a symptom of peripheral neuralgia right ?? In that case, im sure lyrica will help you.

Have you tried taking B12 vitamin ?? They are supposed to help...

Default Helps me

I had a pinched nerve at L5....then had a laminectomy to correct. But, the nerve still is not healed, so I take Lyrica to stop the pain in my leg and the burning, pins and needles pain in my foot (Sciatica). It helps me....and helps me to sleep too.

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.
