I have told that I'm dealing with Hemiplegic migraine's. They started in 2005, thought it was for working a lot. Then started having more in 2006, seen doctor, sent to Neurology. Since then I have had a hysterectomy done, 12 different medications, all with bad side affects ,2 have sent me to E.R. This past year has been the worst, been out of work for 4 weeks now. I can have in my sleep, morning's, middle of day, and night. Now I worried about losing my job of 23 years. Just don't know what I can do next, can someone please help?

Are you still on many of those medications , if so which ones are they?
How is your basic diet, do you read labels & limit junk foods etc? Do you take any vitamins or supplements?

Welcome to NeuroTalk! You could also repost over on the Headache Forum Check out the _Useful Sites_ section at the top of that forum as well. There may be information in there of help. I'm sorry you're dealing with such terrible migraines and I'm hope you are able to find some relief from them soon. |

No, can not take, but do Magnesium Glycinate 1000 mg per day, B 2 400 mg per day, and CoQ10 100 mg for the hemiplegic migraine. But also do B12 5000 mg, d3 3000 mg, vitamin Alive (women+50),Bayer 81mg, Prilosec OTC per day. Went on high protein diet, lose 50 lbs over a year, and trying to keep it off.

WHEN TAKING VIT B12, SOME TIMES YOUR BODY CANNOT ABSORB IT, YOU NEED TO TAKE A LOW DOSE OF FOLIC ACID WITH IT. THIS HELPS YOUR BODY TO ABSORB IT BETTER. i was told. HOPE THIS HELPS Janie r |
