Default There's a new girl in town...

Hi, I am P Reynolds. I am 41 years old. I have been sick for 14 months now. I have a Daily, CONSTANT Headache, Fibromyalgia, and a constantly sick stomach. Nothing has helped it go away. I've tried so many medications, scans, tests, nothing has helped. The only abnormalities is a low Vitamin D, and an elevated C-Reactive Protein, and Immunoglobin M. My Doctors in Cincinnati have basically given up on me and have referred me to the Cleveland Clinic. I've been going there monthly since December 08. I think I have them stumped as well. Leave it to me to get something no one seems to know what it is... I had a Lumbar Puncture done in Aug 08, which I had an Opening Pressure of 210, which is slightly elevated, but no diagnosis of Pseudotumor Cerebri, or Borderline... I just don't get it. How can I be in so much pain and no one know why??? I am a mother of 2. I just want my life back. I want to be pain free, or I would accept just be in less pain... Please help. Can anyone help me???

Welcome to NT

I see Alffe gave the links for your main complaints. Good job Alffe

Sometimes it seems to take a long time to get on the right track. I hope you get your answers soon. It helps you recover when you understand what's wrong.

You've been through a lot of tests. One thing to take comfort in, all those areas tested are not sick.

This is a great forum, so look around. Ask questions when you need to. We'll try to answer.

We're here if you need us.

First off I just wanted to say welcome to Neuro Talk! Alffe has given you some great information that hopefully will help. The best part of NT is that sometimes it’s the kindness that a complete stranger will show when you’re in need of someone to talk to. I have fibro and it will cause you to be deficient of vitamin D…my doc has me taking large dose of D and it does help with some of the pain.
Hope you can find some help from the medical world. I’m looking for a new doc as well. You take care and remember that there are a lot of forums here and great folks willing to listen.

Hi preynolds, and a warm welcome to NeuroTalk!

I've heard good things about the Cleveland Clinic, and I'm sorry they haven't been able to help you yet. Believe me when I say that I understand how frustrating it is when something is physically wrong with you, and no one is able or willing to give you a definite diagnosis.

This is such a great place to hang out. There are lots of interesting forums and topics, and lots of friendly and helpful people.

I wish you luck!

hello ther

sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly especially having to take care of your children. Its not easy. Have they looked into CSF leak. I was diagnosed with spontaneous csf leak. it gives horrendous headaches etc especially on standing. If it sounds familiar it may be worth checking it out. good luck
