Confused acdf pain

hi, i was glad to find this site ! i had acdf done on 3/26/09 my constant headache was gone immediately after the surgery but i still have pain in neck and shoulders. i was told b/4 surgery that i also have an impingement in my right rotator cuff. i was given six screws and titantium plate during my surgery and was wondering if anybody else experiences a lot of pain especially when it rains or if weather is really cloudy. how long does it really take to heal? I do a lot of microscope work on my job and just returned to work on june 1st, but i ache so bad upon waking in the mornings it's hard to get out of bed. any body else having similar problems?

Hi!! And welcome to NT! I have an acdf as well, and have had major surgery in my right shoulder, and in my left. I have staples in the right one. I am afraid that the cold will always have some affect on you. We have some good forums for you to check out with lots of information in them. There are many helpful people here as well. I hope you will find the answers and support that you need. You are definately not alone in this. Take care, and please feel free to ask for help. You can pm me anytime. Hopefully someone will come along and post some links for you to our spinal forum, chronic pain forum, and the Vitamin and supplement forum is great as well. Also, the medications forum for questions of that nature. Take good care!!!!
