Default I have a few question about OCD!?

I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years and we have a 3 year old little boy together. In the past 6 months our world has gone upside down. He has recently been diagnosed with OCD. His mind takes over and runs away with itself. What he feels in his heart isn't what he does or says. He goes back and forth everyday. Our days are always the same but vastly different. He gets mad and sad for what I feel is no reason. He stays mad a lot of the time. I dont understand what he is going through and he wont tell me but he gets mad bc I dont understand and I ask questions. Everyday brings on new questions. Here lately he has been pushing me away bc he says he has to do this on his own, its his problem. This kills me!! We have always been so close, telling each other everything. We have always turned to each other. Now he lies to me about anything just to get me to shut up and not talk about it. He pushes it away but in reality this is our life. I want to help so much. I've read alot of things on OCD but nothing about the healing part, nothing about how to help, or an estimated time on how long it takes to learn to control it (I know you cant put a time on anything). Im starting to get so inpatient bc I cant do anything, I cant help, we cant even have one day where we dont fight bc of all this.
Im not giving up. I still love him so much. Im here for him but everyday he says something that hurts me. I need help. Please feel free to give me any advice...I NEED IT!!
THANK YOU

Hello

You're feelings are hurt. There's a hug for you.

It's great that you and your sweetie have been very close. That's a special thing to have... priceless.

Sometimes I have to distance myself to figure things out. I need my space. That wouldn't mean anything other than I need my space.

A little time, a little patience, a little love, it's all work out.

Hello and another welcome to Neurotalk here. I'm sorry for what you are going through. OCD is such a misunderstood syndrome. Since your boyfriend's DX, has he been put on any meds to hlep control the OCD? If so, they do take a little time to start to help.

I am so glad you found us here and hope you continue to come here for help, advice and friendship. Good luck and maybe contact the OCD Foundation, as they could probably give you some good advice in regards to living w/the confusion that OCD brings to life. At least now, it is becoming recognized and Dr's are aware of the problems that come w/it. Take care....

Here's another
