Hello,
I am a newbie here and I just want to learn as much as I can and also be able to talk with people that share the constant pain that I am living in. I was hit by a Tractor Trailer while I was riding my motorcycle and for the past ten years I have been in constant pain. I have been to many pain clinics and they have been of little help to me.

I'm sorry to hear of your accident and the constant pain.

I understand pain... I live in a constant 9 to 10 pain level... (allergic to narcotic pain meds) I have Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy for about 6 years now....

Please feel free to roam around and join in anywhere!!!
You will find a large group of very caring and supportive people here...

If you have any questions or need help finding your way around please don't hesitate to ask... someone will always be around shortly to help you in any way that we can!

Hello and Welcome to NT, Techman! It is great to have you here with us and i'm sure you will get all of the support you need !!!

I'm so sorry to hear about everything that you are going through right now! I too, can relate to chronic pain. I'm 14 and have a chronic pain condition in my left leg and both arms called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. It is a neurological disorder and is the highest known pain according to the McGill Pain Scale. I've tried all sorts of medications and therapies but none have been that succesful unfortunately.

Do you have a diagnosis and has anyone mentioned RSD to you? Some of the things you described sound a bit like RSD - the fact that your pain came on after an injury etc. Not saying that it is that - you really need to see a doctor - but it might be something to look into if you don't already have a dx.

If you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask - i'm more than happy to help if I can!!

So sorry to hear about your motorcycle accident. I'm sure you're thankful to be alive. I understand if you wish you were dead. Pain can wreack havoc in our lives. ten years, huh? You're a veteran. I pray you find some relief today.
