Smile Occipital Neuralgia

My name is ElizaSimon. I have have several cervical fusions. The last one was difficult but I soon had sever eye pain. The doctors decided it was not coming from my eye but from the cervical surgeries that I had. No pain medicine takes away the pain. It escalated from the eye to the head. It comes in cycles and leaves me feeling beaten up. It is hard to get into pain management doctor when the cycle begins. I now i am seeing a new pain management doc that did the facet joint injections. Don't think they will work but had to stop taking my plavix for a week and had the attack during that week. So have to wait for the whole months of August to see if anything works. Really tired.

Welcome

Bless your heart. I had botox injections into my scalenes (neck) and my right eye twitched. The doc seem to indicate they were related by saying "You're not wired up that way" but Googling botox and scalenes later, I found that one of the side effects was droopy eyelids. So we are connected that way and doing something one place can cause something in another.

The strange anomalies are the hardest for doctors. It's not in their books so to say.

I would suggest maybe reflexology, PT.

My physical therapist would work on my head and it would release thing that were going on at other parts of my head, and some of that wasn't in her book either.

It may take some time. I pray you find relief.
