Default Unruptured aneurysm

Hi,
I've just been diagnosed with a bulbous basiLar artery tip measuring 6mm in diameter from a cat scan. I was also diagnosed with hydrocephalus. I have to go see the doc in a week to discuss all my test. And see what they want to do about all these problems. My symptoms are, short term memory loss, cant concentrate, headaches, blurred vision and as I stand up it feels like my head is spinning and someone is holding me upside down by my feet. Does anyone know if this is caused by the bad buldging artery, or is it the hydrocephalus? I'm really scared. Can surgery take care of all this? The neuro surgeon i saw for the hydrocephalus was gonna do a shunt, but after reading my cisternogram he says no surgery. COULD SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE? I WOULD BE GRATEFUL.

Welcome to NT

Oh, that would scare me too. That's sounds serious. I have read other posts with similar histories. You're not alone. It's okay to be scared.

Sometimes when we're first diagnosed, it's just too much info to digest... too fast. You may want to request copies of those test results so you can read and better digest at a later time. There's lots of info here.

Don't get too upset over things right now. You need your strength for healing.

We're here for you. Let us know if you need help getting around.

Default short-term memory loss funnies

Hi its peaches217 again. I'm new on here and posted my problem the other day. Just thought I'd share some funny stuff. Everyone needs a laugh.
With my condition comes short-term memory loss. A while back when it first started I put my purse in the frig and my milk in the cupboard...I have drove right on past wherever I was going many times wondering where the heck am I? Where was I suppose to be going. Just the other day I made my husband some coffee. He said" Thank You honey for the hot water"?
I forgot to put the coffee in the coffee maker. Later I lost my keys. They were in My hand the whole time. Then started looking for my glasses, my daughter says, MOM!! They are on top of yer head.. At least I make her laugh. I took my daughter to her 7th grade orientation. Had a folder of papers in my hand to turn in to the school. Well I lost them. Went everywhere looking for them. They were in my hand in a bag of supplies the whole time. Hope you had a laugh...Cheri

Hi Cheri, and thanks for the laughter. It's good to laugh at the mistakes we make.
