Default Strange feelings in my scalp?

Don't know where to ask this question yet this one mentions head tingling so here goes.
I get a strange feeling of something like a a vein, that is hot in the top of my head. It is not an actual pain but it feels strange and happens on the left and the right side of the top of my head. Started some months ago and now is doing it more and more frequently.
I do have C-spine issues and even wonder if this if from a nerve in the spine. sure would like to explain it better yet words fail me at this point. Thanks for any help.
