Default sister dx'd with ON

My sister has been recently dx'd with ON. She is in such pain it is unreal but now she is having problems with eye sight in one eye.

I have MS and my dx started with vision problems so this worries me that she is doing the same thing.

Does ON cause optic neuritis or something similar.

Thanks for any help you can be in this!

I'm no expert on this, but ON can cause pain in the eyes. She really needs to see a neurologist to sort out what her issues are. There is another member on here who has MS and ON. Hopefully she'll see this post and reply to you as her experience with both conditions would be very helpful to you and your sister. EE

Thanks, I happened to have an appt with my new neurologist who happens to be a neuro ophthalmologist and he said ON would not cause optic neuritis. She still hasn't made an appt for it but told her neuro surgeon's PA about it but no call back from them yet.

I worry about her.
