Hi,
For the last year and a half I have been more inovlved in the Traumatic Brain injury section of this website, but as this slowly heals, I am still left with the headaches and pressure on my occipital nerve. Apparently my constant muscle spasm in my neck from the whiplash and tensing from vertigo and dizziness is causing pressure on the Occipital Nerve. This explains the piercing pain to my left eye, inability to track movement (causing dizziness) and brutal headaches/migraines. I have been on gabapentin to help this, but am awaiting treatment suggestions from various doctors. My neurologist said that he coud inject botox into my neck, but I really don't know much about this. Has anyone tried this? He said it would cost about $350 a vial, but it may only reduce how many pain killers I take. I really don't know much about this, but I also get pain shocks across my face, like someone is putting a match out on my cheeks. I often feel like I could draw out the nerve pattern on my cheek or around my eye/nose sometimes. I will continue to read through the posts, but thought I would put this out there to see if anyone could suggest or let me know what is going on. Thanks |
