Default New here

but I've been registered for a while. I want to share some of my daughters story. I'm just going to write some facts for you first:

Age: 20
Pain: 6 years: face - bilateral, deep ear pain, neck, base of skull, scalp, chin, behind the eyes, shoulders
Diagnosis: (a couple of many) TN, GN, and ON
Surgery on 12/17/08- Dr. Jannetta - MVD, Paddded Geniculate Nerve, and MVD on Occiptal Nerve.
Results: Failed
Tested for: MS (4 times), Lupas, Lymes, you name it- she has been tested.

So I told you all that so I can tell you this:

The A.L.F. Device: Advanced Lightwire Functional

I have a lot of information on this- and I mean a lot! It makes common sense if that makes sense...I know, I know - I sound crazy but this has been such a long journey for Lauren and myself and it's just not fair for her or anybody else to have to live like this.

Let me just write some points of interest that we have experienced:

- Lauren had braces at 9 years old for 2 years. Open bite that was never corrected before the braces
- Lauren has forward head posture
- Lauren always has thick sinuses- no alergies
- Lauren has been very active in sports for most of her life- starting at age 4
- Lauren does not have TMJ but she has all the TMJ symptoms which is what they are calling TMD
- I have read some miss diagnosis for TN and GN which they said Lauren had both and the MVD was done for the TN and GN....did not work

Recent fact finding from the dentist:

- Normal air way of the average person is 12 to 15 mm- Lauren's is 6 - (this was determined with a side skull X-ray at the dentist office- I saw this with my own eyes) these findings indicate that the reason is this: that her cheek bone on the left side is pushed back either from braces (probably) or trama (sports) and that bone has pushed back other bones in her face which has limited her airway in her nose which makes her push her head forward to open up the airway in her throat which has created forward head posture. This was probably made worse by doing sports as she was breathing heavier from the activity. Which in turn is affecting the cranial balance that is required by the body. When that cranial balance is disturbed the body tries to correct it self naturally by compensating with other areas......shoulder, neck, base of skull... scalp......
- Laurens pallet (the roof of her mouth) is very high. This is the actual base of the skull. This is also affecting the pressure behind the nose and they eyes......eye pain.....ear pain....jaw pain....face pain.....nose pain...chin pain....the trigeminal nerve...all of these nerves communicate as you all know this very well....it just makes sense.

I keep pinching myself to make sure it's not a dream...I can't believe that this thing is working...it's crazy for sure.

The dentist said that the symptoms will go away the opposite as they arrived. The last thing that arrived was the scalp pain.....next on the list: ear pain.

The device was put in on September 17. Today is November 22 and she has been free of ear pain and face pain since November 8.
