Default Tinnitus.

Hi, I am new on this forum. I have posted on Peripheral neuropathy.

I have a question: Is Tinnitus a symptom in any cranial neuropathies?
I have Small Fiber Neuropathy, and I also have a symptom/sensation of continous "drilling" in my head. No doctors have given me any answer. I guess I could see the ENT doctor? I will ask neurologist again.
Thankful for any explanation. I feel as if there is inflamation, and this symptom is more noticable when I am exhausted and tired. I do have vasculitis, and history of unruptured, coiled cerebral aneurysm, as well as TIA.
Thanks
Synnove

I do have tinnitus as a part of my neuralgia suite.

I don't know what to really do for it. but Botox injections that I get to help with the pain does seem to help if the injections are close enough to the ear. Unfortunately, the neuro does not always inject in the same areas because each time I get the injections (300 units every three months) we are targeting a different set of spasms and pain.

Of all the treatments I've had in the last 25 years, the Botox injections have been the best as far as minimizing pain and spasms.

Lightbulb

Try rubbing your magnesium lotion over the muscles in the neck...
I find that tinnitus I have--- mostly lifetime--- minimizes dramatically. I have it mostly in my left ear...from childhood.
(after testing the doctor told me probably from measles or a head injury from abuse).
