Default ON after root canal?

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, but I've been diagnosed with ON. The pain in the left side of my head in the back started after a root canal re-treatment of an upper molar on the left side.

I've been living with it for about a year. I tried two types of pain blocks, a couple of drugs, but I started getting more pain near my tooth. My neurologist sent me back to my endodontist (root canal doc). He started to re-treat one of the roots. My tooth pain and my ON pain increased after this re-re-treatment and I'm going to get the tooth extracted in 2 days.

Has anyone here had ON start after root canals or dental work?

Cool Smirk

Hi HeadPain,

Welcome to our caring Community. While you have developed ON, the cause is right up the Alley of our Resident Expert, Bryanna over on the Dental Forum:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum89.html

Re-posting there is likely to get you a wider range of ideas and answers.

As a Classic TN sufferer, I can understand your pain and frustration with this condition.

Dave.
