Default ON and GN

Hi everyone.
I have Neuralgia but am not yet fully diagnosed. It seems I have Occipital Neuralgia and Geniculate Neuralgia.
My ear pain for the GN is continual and I have not heard of this. I have no break in pain what so ever. Can anyone relate? It has been weeks that I have had this pain. The ON comes and goes with triggers like sitting or doing my hair but the GN never subsides. All the rest of my symptoms are perfect for GN except that the pain never leaves. Can anyone relate?

Also.. I am worried that I have ON and GN. I have not read anywhere of someone with these two Neuralgias. I am confused why two nerves so far apart would both be affected. It was the ON first then weeks later the GN. No accident that caused this. Maybe another nerve will be affected soon too. Maybe I have a bad nervous system that is deteriorating. I'm so confused. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Michelle.

Hi Michelle,
I can relate. I got Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia after some questionable dental work. Lately, I've gotten some weird pains in my lower neck (back) and into my head. Yesterday, this pain was horrible I was just dx'd with ON. I also sometimes get pain in my ear, but don't seem to have GN. I too am worried that the initial damage has somehow spread across my nerves.

What helps your ON? I was given Baclofen and am using a heating pad.

I hope we both find some answers.
