Default Alffe's Singing Frog Avatar

So, where did Alffe's singing frog avatar come from? Enquiring minds want to know...

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=2uZb...eature=related. You will watch what I consider to be a modern masterpiece ... like Alfee herself ... which makes her avatar all the more appropriate.

Watch out!! The cartoon looks easy, but it is amazingly complex. To start with, frogs and dragons and such in mythology usually guard treasures, secrets. So, what secret is the singing frog guarding? Whatever it is, it's important. A corner stone, where he is located, is always the foundation of the foundation, if you will. You'll also see the words "Acme Building and Wrecking" as the name of the company tearing down the building. Acme means the highest point of achievement or development.

I would remark in passing that the frog is an amphibian. He slips in and out of water, which is usually associated with the unconscious, as well as land. And he's green, the color of initiation rites. Altogether, a slippery character, ambiguous ... "building and wrecking."

When I saw the cartoon as a kid, I thought the frog was mean-spirited, a Froggy The Gremlin derivative. Now, well ... note that he only stops singing when greed and $$$ appear. Makes you wonder ... There's a message, and it's never stated once openly, which makes it all the more powerful. In fact, there is no spoken dialogue; there are only songs.

Well, have fun! Let everybody know what you think.

Tom
