Hey, Char, glad to see you're back in the groove. I'm pretty tired myself, I have seriously pushed myself this past, uh... 10 days? It has been one rush of thrills all the way from NC through DC into Philly and on to Gettysburg. Just a terrific bunch of conemplation, curiosity and connections.

I have to get my bootie home now because my oldest friend of my life is coming in from CO tomorrow.

I can't wait to see her. We're celebrating our 40th year of friendship this year. We can hardly believe that we are old enough to have any history involving 40 whole years. We were 4 when our mom's stuck us together and it took, we're pretty thankful for that!

you are so lucky to have such a friend! I have a friend that we were put together by our mom's when we were infants - and today we are still very good friends.

Get some rest!!

It is finally raining here..... woohoo!!! Sorry, just had to say that.... It has been soooo dry..

Anyway, I'm assuming you are home AMN!! So, brush off all that old battlefield dust and have a great visit w/Sandy.
Just hang out and enjoy your friendship.... *I know you will*

The thing about great friends is, you don't have to be anything but YOU  when your'e together....
Hope that makes sense...

Hi Char!!! I hope all is well w/you... How's the wing feeling?????

AfterMyNap 05-13-2007 09:15 AM

Yep, I'm home. I'm pooped, but in that good kind of way. DM, my Sandi spells it with an "i". I'm not at all worried about being myself, it's all I know and all she expects. We're in for some marathon talking and she really needs it right now.

She's a soft little soul and she hasn't seen me this bad yet, it's going to wreck her and I'm trying to steady myself to deal with it when she comes unglued. Poor kid, it really hurts her when she sees how far this MS junk has gone.

It's kind of funny, once I get her over that initial hump, everything always sails right along.

Hey DM - the wing is healing fine - getting very itchy and driving me nuts!! which is a short drive for this girl!

AMN have a good visit with Sandi - how long is she staying?

Thanks, Char, we will. She goes out at dawn on Wed. Just a medicinal fix for her, she has a kid and a job and a life, unlike me.

I'll see her in CO this summer and we'll be able to spend more time doing whatever it is we do... I'm never sure, but time does fly when we are in the same rooms.

Char, have you tried dumping some Gold Bond powder into your cast? It really helps with the itching (I have a long list of casted owies, in my former life I was a maniac).

DM 05-13-2007 06:29 PM

Oh for crying out loud. OK, have a good visit w/Sandi with an "i". *nit picker*

Maybe if you'd stay home once in a while, you would look and feel a little better.... huh????? :p I know.... I know.....

Glad you are home safe and sound....

Hey Char??? I had a cast on my foot when I was a freshman in HS and the Dr went out of town when I was supposed to go and have it cut off. Soooo, I went out to my Dad's workshop and got a tin cutter or whatever it was and cut it off myself... I would not advise trying this at home....

I was young, what can I say... I had places to go....:D :D

Glad you're safely home Cindy!! Have a wonderful time with your friend, and make some room for plenty of down time and rest!:)

DM (oh one who can't spell) calling AMN a nit picker! Who you trying to kid! LOL!

JS - how ya doing? Feeling any better???? I hope so.
