Cool Smirk

A tortoise goes into a Library and asks how many books he can take out.

"New members can take out two books" says the Librarian.

"Will you pick two for me at random?" asks the tortoise, who then checks them out. He leaves with the books balanced on his shell.

The following morning he is back at the Library, returns the books, and asks for two more. The Librarian obliges and the tortoise leaves again with the books balanced on his shell.

This continues all week, much to the mounting confusion of the Librarian. She confides in her Boss about the new tortoise Library member and his borrowing habits, and says "The books I have been giving him are long novels, he cannot read both in one day!"

Together they hatch a plan. The next morning, without fail, the tortoise turns up again and asks for two more books to be chosen at random, which are balanced on his shell.

This time the Librarian and her Boss sneak out and follow the slow moving tortoise. He meanders down the street and enters a Park. They follow him all day until, late in the afternoon he reaches the edge of a pond.

In the middle of the pond is a large Lily pad with a big green frog sitting on it. The Librarian and her Boss crouch behind a bush, watching as the scene unfolds.

The tortoise flips the books off his shell, manoeuvres them under his front legs and stands them up so the frog can see the covers.

The frog says

"Reddit, Reddit!"

Dave.
