Default Reynolds Handi-Vac

Hi all!!!

What can I say. When I find a gadget that I love, that is cheap, works great and does what it's supposed to do....well I share it with everybody.

Here's a neat little video that I just made of my new Reynolds Handi-Vac. It cost a whopping $8.99. And the bags are cheap too. The darn thing works great.

No more Seal a Meal, or Foodsaver (over $100.00). This is the niftiest thing since sliced bread.

Take a peek.

HURRAY.

somebody likes my gadget.

I also got the One Touch Can Opener.

Darndest thing I ever saw. Walks around the can. There's loads of videos on the One Touch up on youtube already, so I'm not doing an infomercial on that one.

But I have so many gadgets in my house.

I just might surprise you guys with my next gadget??

Hey curious. Did you happen to see Alan's neuropathy rap video on youtube. It's to the right of the handi-vac one. Just click on More of eliz7212 videos.

You'll get hysterical.

Let me know what you think!!!

I bought the Swivel Sweeper and it works great! So light and easy to use for little cleanups of dirt, dog food, etc.

Read your post again Melody...think I will now get the can opener. Sounds easy and will maybe help arthirits(spell) in my thumbs. Picking up the electric opener is hard to do and don't like it taking up counter space. How much are the refil bags for your food vac?

what I wanted to get was the Shark Steam Mop.

I saw the informercial on tv and because I have only tile flooring in my apartment, it would be ideal, until I went to epinions.com where I always check before I buy anyting from "as seen on tv".

Well, when someone wrote that it's hard to use and you need strength, I immediately knew it wasn't for me.

I have a steam cleaning thing (the steam bullet). What a piece of junk. I got it a few years ago. You put in the water, you wait a couple of minutes and when you press the trigger all this high powered steam is supposed to come out of the nozzle and you can clean your stove, the sink (anywhere).

yeah right?? I could press the trigger from here to eternity and it works for about 10 seconds. It's back in my closet.

If I could find a good little hand held steam machine that actually worked, I would get one. I like the fact that you clean and disinfect with steam. and not chemicals.

Anyone know a good little steam cleaning machine (like the steam bullet) but one that works??

Default Handy Kat Vac

I really like this machine...works great as a flea buster!
Must keep my Kats pristine clean!
PS...I have one of those larger food savers...sucks out the air, but it crushes whatever's inside, so not good for storing bread unless you like squished bread! But the bags are heavy duty, good for long time freezing....I did a huge box of asparagas last spring...the store GAVE me 2 huge boxes filled with fresh asparagas...thought it wouldn't last the 2 days they were closed.
So I got over 50 bunches of it, then processed and frozed them. Yummy!
What a blessing!
Anyway...have a good laugh! Enjoy! Cheryl
Handi cleaning tips...but those Lots'a'dot animals are hard to keep clean! LoL!
FYI...incase you're worried about cruelty to these animals...re Kat vac...I got it off the internet...so is not my cat being tortured here.

I have a really good question about freezing asparagus.

I LOVE asparagus, as well as other fresh veggies.

Since I just got my new handi vac thingee, I have no idea how to prepare asparagus or any other fresh veggie for freezing.

Do I cook it first, (or blanch it and I don't even know what this is actually).

Give me some tips how to do the freezing fresh asparagus thing, okay??

and thanks much.
