Yes, a EEG is a good idea. And they should be willing to do one on both
your younger son and yourself. The suggestion is also to ask the neurologist
that is working with your older son to do one.

The other thing is. I didn't read the other response again. But I have forgotten whether it to has anger and outburst. BEcause these are
also sometimes considered seizures.

So it could definately be those.

Your not alone

My baby girl is 14 and in the past 9 months she has been diagnosed with ADHD but has a sensitivity to stimulants. She has also been diagnosed with childhood bi-polar,anxiety disorder, mixed personality with borderline traits and PTSD after ending up in 2 mental hospitals after becoming sleep deprived and having a mental breakdown.

We did Vyvanse before finding out she was stimulant sensitive so she came off of it. Then we went on Prozac which made her act like a caged monkey all jacked up on mountain dew who went crazy with anger fits, sudden outburst, uncontrollable laughing and crying if she sat in the house longer than to wash, eat and get a little sleep.

We then added clondidine to help her calm down a little bit but it just caused blood pressure issues which caused dizziness so she wanted to do nothing but sit around.

Once again we took her off that medication and added risperdal but come to find out it was a dose just high enough to cause irritability and depression which led to extreme anger fits for minor reasons so once again she came off that medicine too.

She is now on the Prozac and Abilify, the moods are starting to stabilize. The depression has gotten better, the anger fits dont happen as often and are easier to bring her out of and the manic happiness with hyper activity has leveled out too.
