Have you been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease? If you are over the age of 40, with no alcohol or drug dependence, you might be eligible to participate in this research study.This study examines a method of non-invasive brain stimulation called Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) combined with transcranial ultrasound (TUS) and their effect on the symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease.Study visits will be conducted at Spaulding Rehabilitation Network Research Institute (SRN-RI)in Charlestown, MA, and will require 17 visits (1.5-2 hours each) over an 11-week period. If you have never been to Spaulding, it is a beautiful facility with lots of parking, clean rest rooms and a first floor cafe.
