My husband has PD. He is participating in a study at Cedar's-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. They are testing the use of Victoza (a diabetes medication) to help slow/stop the progression of the disease. There has been one previous study using a similar drug (Byetta) that showed a significant improvement in symptoms even after the drug was stopped. They need more participants. My husband injects himself daily with a "pen" needle that is the size of a hair. He says he doesn't feel it at all. He continues to take his PD medication. He joined because there is only a 1 in 3 chance of getting a placebo. If anyone is willing or knows someone willing to participate in this exciting, not to mention promising, research, please contact:
