What do you mean "DBS goes generic"? This is an operative procedure. How can they trademark or patent it? Please expound..

Medtronic has had a patent on the hardware used, lead wires, chip set, remote control...a medical device patent not on procedure itself. If you look at Clinicaltrials.gov
