Here's another well explained update about Neurturin:
UAB part of Parkinson's study, 1 of 9 medical centers with patients taking experimental drug 5/18/2008, 6:17 p.m. ET The Associated Press BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A small number of Parkinson's patients are participating in a study at UAB that injects an experimental drug into the brain with the hopes of rejuvenating damaged cells and slowing the progression of the disease. UAB is one of nine medical centers where 37 patients are participating in the double-blind study and scientists will check the patients at years' end to see if their symptoms have improved. Researchers say the drug, CERE-120, could possibly be used for a host of other common ailments of aging, including Alzheimer's ,,,, "We are really pushing the boundaries," said Dr. Ray L.
