Sniff Your Way to a Cure! Really!!

Just saw a news segment (Channel 5, KSTP, Minneapolis/St. Paul) a researcher who had a dream, that if neurological problems were caused by inhalents, ie., pollution, fumes, etc., why couldn't they cure the damage by introducing the cure the same way the damage got by the blood brain barrier, through sniffing.
