Dec 1 ...still , the fava beans are growing . Monday nite was a very cold night with heavy frost..down to 30 degrees. We didn't get the expected 24 degrees last week, but, they are predicting it in a few days again. Still harvesting beans & leaves!

24 degrees was the limit for the favas (too cold for me to be out too) But they appear to be in a state of suspended animation somehow/ and if we would only get a few warm days, they would spring into life again. I sent some tincture to Ken Allan in Canada to test and he decided that in two drops of tincture, there is approx 1 mg levadopa. (he may try to experiment with a tincture next summer, too). I am feeling good...taking the tincture 3 times a day usually. Getting my seed catalogue order ready for more beans to plant the end of Feb. here in TN. Will keep you posted on our progress .
