Heart dear one,

Hello!
I was just wondering how many people who give great advise, is because of great wisdom on the PD road we have traveled...
& to tell you all - to never give up, I have been studying ashwagandha still,
and It points out that it helps adreanal exhaustion...
I believe adreanal exhaustion is caused by many different toxins, in our foods,
that are crapola...
they suggest CoQ 10 because it is an antioxident, found in high quantity in the human heart & liver...it is part of the electron transport system
so I keep on thinking if we can get our bodies ph balanced, we could stop the advancement of the PD.?
&
perhaps that is how the tremors began in President Clinton -
he had a McDonalds pitstop on his agenda too much during his 8 years in office...

love,
tena

Yep, I was told by a general practice neurologist that PD was just for old people, then he rose from behind his desk and said, "this is what PD looks like." He then preceded to walk stooped with a shuffle.

I NEVER returned to that office again!!

Why do you ask Tena? Just curious.

Hi Accu200....surgery is tomorrow. In July, I tripped over a raised sidewalk and was bruised all over both legs. Well I found out that I also tore the knee up and it needs to be cleaned up and the injured section removed. I have had a couple of surgeries since being diagnosed with PD and have had no problem. I take my meds as soon as I can after the procedure. I have never had a doctor tell me not to have surgery when needed. We need good knees so go for it!
Good luck and say a good word for me too.

My official dx was in 2001, but I had unmistakable symptoms since about '90. I refused to admit it.
Even before then I had what I now know were PD symptoms. I was in my 30's when it started. Progression was so slow that I could fluff it off when I fell and when I banged my shoulders on door frames. By 2000 there was no fluffing any more, when I developed tremor too.

Biker, you beat us all by a long way, how are you doing, what are your symptoms, 29 years is awesome.
After 18 years, My main problem is walking. Even medicated, I shuffle and can't turn around. My "off" is worse after my meads wear off, than it was before I took my meds, if you can understand what I mean. In the mornings, unmedicated, I can shower, dress and go down and put the dog out etc.
However, when I have taken my meds, if they wear off before I take more, I am jelly, could not do anything. Does anyone else find this?
On the positive side, I still drive, go on demanding holidays, (Venice by Orient Express this June), do yoga every week, and maintain a half acre garden.
Ron
Ron,
I has symptoms a couple of years before I was dx'd, small handwriting, right thumb twitched. the PD mask, slight tremor. Thats the way it stayed for several years, then around 1998-99 it progressed rapidly and took control. Freezing, severe tremor, balance, speech, dystonia. Had DBS in 2001 very successful, like a new lease on life. Am still doing fairly well except for balance, thats out the window, I fall constantly. Gait is a weird also stiffness can be a problem. But I am hanging in there.

Default To Geoann and Accu200

Not officially diagnosed until 2001, still in denial and looking for another answer. Only answering here, as I haven't hit the official ten year mark, because I have had three arthoscopys and three arthoplastys. I would be happy to talk about them is you want to pm me.
