Default advice on "resources"?

Next month I (along with a couple of other families in my hometown of Wilmington DE) will be hosting a Team Fox fundraiser---Pancakes for Parkinson's www.teamfox.org/teamfox/delawarepancakes

We want to have a PD resources table set up for folks who are looking for more information. I have MJFF materials of course and PDtrials.org cards, working on getting some WPC cards. Will have a couple of computers set up so happy to have one set to neurotalk--so folks can learn about this community...one will likely be set up for 23andme/pdcommunity.

What are we missing? Just looking for ideas connecting folks to useful resources (national and local) at our local fundraiser.

Book pdplan4life brochures

Debi,

Sheryl & I would love to send you some pdplan4life brochures to have available. Our website has tips for living well, plus humorous stories about living with Parkinson's. Please PM me if you would like us to send you some materials. (our brochures are available in various neurology offices in Arizona & Illinois - including the Muhammad Ali Center)

Thanks, Jean B

How about something on PAN?

Both PDF and NPF are good online resources and produce quality materials - PDF has the creativity project and the online resource guide.

Had one more in mind, but it slipped away ....... will post if it comes back!

Default other handouts...

I forgot to mention that I will have a standard one-pager handout for patient events that highlights online resources from other groups too ... (and includes pdplan4life for instance). Thanks for your ideas.

Debi: if you have not already used it as a resource, I highly recommend PDF's "You are not alone" DVD. It is available free of charge and through the PDF web site or by calling 800 457 6676.

The DVD was created for the newly diagnosed parkinson's patient and includes testimonials from patients as well as other resources available.

Good luck with pancake idea. Bob C
