Default Question re: "Physiotherapy should be available..."

"Physiotherapy should be available for people with PD. Particular consideration should be given to:
-gait re-education, improvement of balance and flexibility; enhancement of aerobic capacity; improvement of movement initiation; improvement of functional independence, including mobility and activities of daily living;
provision of advice regarding safety in the home environment. (Level B) NICE GL35 (Jun 2006)"

This was mentioned in the guidelines posted on this site for review, but I noticed in my Medicare guidelines that physical therapy and speech therapy together can't exceed $1800 per year. Does this apply to people with Parkinson's? I'm new to Medicare and I'm hoping that there is some way around this. I'm not sure if this is the billed amount or the allowable charge....Any information would really be appreciated as $1800 is about 1 visit a month as billed by my PT and it is physical therapy that keeps me going. (I called Medicare on this and the person didn't know and read me the same text I had received in the mail)

Thanks so much. Sorry if I've veered a bit off topic here.
