Default Gout chemical slows Parkinson's

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8302068.stm

This comes with another report that says that cholestrol also slows PD.

Study finds cholesterol may help treat Parkinson's
Now I feel that I have been "done" by believing and following a medical culture which advocate that more vegatable and less meat and fat is good for health.
This may be true for the average person but fatal for those of us who are prone to have PD either becauase of our genes, enviroment or psychology !

Default

I have had gout three times...culprit all three times was tuna noodle casssarole (tuna, milk,cheese,butter,noodles..all acid forming & in combination ..too much for my system. I can eat any of these (even a couple at one time, but not all) I've been taking Essiac tea since l996 and it is good to keep gout from grabbing you...I think it has helped me not succumb to PD symptoms for a while too.

Lightbulb dear aunt bean!

this is something I have never used but cancer patients use it-
with good response..
Essiac tea, -
the history of the tea -used for cancer, or cancer prevention...
The "Truth" About the Essiac Formula
The early essiac formula consisted of four herbs: burdock root, turkish rhubarb, sheep sorrel, and slippery elm bark. After many clinical trials, Dr. Charles Brusch and Nurse Rene Caisse added red clover, kelp, blessed thistle, and watercress to the "original" essiac formula to make it more effective and synergistic.
http://www.essiac-tea-herbal-remedie...c-formula.html

skipping down same page -
Sheep Sorrel has been used to treat scurvy, to strengthen the heart and to "cool" the liver. The fresh leaves contain a number of acids, which makes them a delicacy in green salads. Sheep sorrel has long been respected as a diuretic and a treatment for blood disorders, including assisting with skin problems. A sheep sorrel decoction can be used internally or externally. Rene Caisse, in her more than fifty years of working with cancer patients, believed sheep sorrel to be effective in breaking down tumors as well as alleviating degenerative diseases, and so it becomes a key component in the essiac formula

so it is a good tea...

what is in the tea - that uses the name~ Essiac
http://www.vitacost.com/Essiac-Herbal-Tea
Burdock, powdered (root), sheep sorrel, powdered (leaves), slippery elm, powdered (bark), indian rhubarb, powdered (root).
Other Ingredients: Burdock root (Arctium lappa), sheep sorrel leaves (Rumex acetosella), slippery elm bark (Ulmus fulva), indian rhubarb root (Rheum officinale). Contains no other ingredient.
