I am reliefed that my dterioration of memory may not be early dementia

In normal aging, memory loss is usually slow. It may result in forgetting names, phone numbers, or where an item was just placed. Intelligence and problem-solving skills are not affected. True dementia involves loss of intelligence and problem-solving skills. It often cannot be reversed and will become worse over time.

Hi Mark,

I recently "passed" my cognitive studies test as well.

When I went for my folow-up with my neuro-psychologist, she was pleased with my results. She said there is some slowing in my processes, but this is mostly due to age so there's nothing to worry about. Then I told her about me going back to school, which she was so excited for me for doing so. She said this is the best thing I can do to keep the neurons exercised.
