Wayback Web Archive works some days and not others.
One just needs to be patient with it. I have seen it down for days and days...thinking it was gone even. Then it is back!

When trying to get archived files from the wayback machine site, you definitely have to be patient. And when you do find some of the files, you just get dates showing when certain pages were created. (There may be numerous posts in the course of one day but only a certain amount will be showing).
Often, whenever you get the "dates only" page, then when you click on a date your search engine will pop up a page telling you that the link is broken or saying there is no link at all. Well, here's a trick I have learned. To begin - click on the post again - your browser won't show that it is trying to download the page - it will just appear. At the bottom of each forum page are numbers connecting the PAST pages of the forum to the one in front of you. As people post, the page showing will fill up and the numbers at the bottom of each showing page becomes the history of what has been posted. So if you go to a forum page dated 2004, and then click on one of those numbers at the bottom,, you can go back to as far as you'd like (e.g. you may arbitrarily go to 2002 by clicking on one of thoseo numbers. The larger the numeral, the older the page of posts).). It's time-consuming, but that's how it works. I have gotten as far back as the year 2000. Peg |
