Default Just when you think you have it bad!

Sorry to hear this about this kid. I hope he can endure the years ahead with strength of character and perseverance. Bless him as he enters the journey at such a young age.

Dream Come True for Webster Athlete Mark Houpper

WHAM 13, Reported by: Chuck Wade, Last Update: 12/14 7:10 pm
Veiw video / Read item: http://www.13wham.com/news/local/sto...A.cspx?rss=102

Webster, N.Y. - A teenager from Webster battling Parkinson's disease is about to have his dream come true. “I like basketball, I like it very much,” said Mark Houpper.

“He's out there year ‘round,” said Mark’s mother Lori Houpper. “We shovel the driveway…he puts special gloves on, goes out in the pouring rain, the neighbors are constantly saying, ‘Look at Mark! Why aren't you out there?’ He just lives for the sport.”

Mark lives with early onset Parkinson's disease, but that hasn't stopped him from being part of the Webster Thomas Basketball Team

I wonder if he has any idea what caused his PD so young? I know that in Japan there is an inherited type Parkinson(ism) that has diagnosed children as early as 3 years old!

Nice story, Carolyn. It puts our situation into perspective.
