Agent Orange Benefits to Expand in 2010
Veterans Today, Posted on January 02, 2010 http://www.veteranstoday.com/modules...ticle&sid=9984 Excerpt: "The rule, expected to be published soon, will make almost any veteran who set foot in Vietnam, and is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, B cell leukemia or ischemic heart disease (known also as coronary artery disease), eligible for disability compensation and VA medical care. The exception would be if credible evidence surfaces of a non-service cause for the ailment.

Agent Orange ruling due from government
Published: Jan. 4, 2010 at 1:29 PM http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2010/...7571262629752/ WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- A U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs official said no cost estimates were available regarding an impending decision regarding diseases tied to Agent Orange. Veterans Affairs press secretary Katie Roberts said such estimates will be available after the federal department officially rules whether three diseases suffered by U.S. veterans of the Vietnam War are linked to Agent Orange, the Newport News (Va.) Daily Press said Sunday. The ruling regarding Parkinson's disease, B cell leukemia and ischemic heart disease is expected from Veterans Affairs later this year.
