Cool Silencing brain cells with multiple colors of light

http://www.rdmag.com/News/2010/01/Li...lors-Of-Light/

Quote:
Neuroscientists at MIT have developed a powerful new class of tools to reversibly shut down brain activity using different colors of light. When targeted to specific neurons, these tools could potentially lead to new treatments for the abnormal brain activity associated with disorders such as chronic pain, epilepsy, brain injury, and Parkinson’s disease.

Default I want it all...

let's invent a conveyor type machine or perhaps a parkinson ride with different rooms. like a car wash, we could start out with an upper skeletal massage and chiropractor treatment [scott's post], then proceed on down the track to the full body movement , vibrations [imad's post], then calm down with the multi colored lights,[carolyn and rd42's post] [you were first this time carolyn...lol...never hurts to read things more than once,] and then visit the refreshment center and pick your supplements fior a delicious drink....oh and then finish with a machine that brushes your teeth and waterpicks for you.

this sounds far fetched, but i know a girl who has her own tanning machine. lives here in Florida. never say never.

something for the pwp who has everything.

we could listen to music the whole time of course. there - all bases covered?

anyone have pictures? John Neuro [if you happen to read this] is there something we could google ourselves to see if we have a chiropractor in our area who is qualified for the upper skeletal treatment?

it all sounds relaxing...to feel limp would be heaven...i am resigning to the fact that heaven is where i'll be when i do relax again. Doomed to be wound tight, beginning with cholic.

i'm trying to be more positive, not as angry as i have been. but we all need something to go on. these possibilities could be experimented with on our own can't they? we need patient built devices.

i just heard on tv that cell phones ward off the effects of alzheimers. wonder if that study was done by AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint? Or maybe you have to have a blackberry to stay sharp.

They'll be debating the effects of all the nano particles and electrical charges till the next ice age hits. which reminds me - it's calling for snow in florida this weekend.
