Default paula

Remember when they made a TV movie out of Mort Kondracke's book, Saving Milly? Our very own rosebud (Joy) was one of those consulted about how to portray the role of Milly, who of course had Parkinson's. They got it down to a science, and it was excelllent.

Yes, I hope they don't show the PWP only as some over-sex crazed maniac or focus on some compulsive behaviors or something! (snicker) Seriously, those are both possibilities with this disease, but what the public needs to see is the day-to-day uncertainty of our bodies doing (or NOT doing) what we tell them. Whenever I ihelp people file for disability, I tell them to keep repeating the word "unreliable" and the rest will flow.

Default Oh, I don't know

Peg,

Maybe showing us as a bunch of sex crazed women could actually improve our image! Beats the image we have now.
