My husband has been experiencing left hand pinky tremor off and on since August. He saw a MDS a couple of months ago who said it sounded like it could be dystonia, but to come back in 6 mths if the tremor had not gone away, or if other symptoms developed. He has since had the same off and on pinky tremor and has also experienced one episode of foreman tremor (left) and has had one chin tremor. He is otherwise very healthy. We have noticed that the tremor seems to be more frequent when he is experiencing stress. Does this sound like early warning signs of PD?

Not being a doctor, I can not say one way or the other if it is Parkinson's disease. Tremors can be caused by many things. However, here is a link to the Parkinson Desase Foundation describing Parkinson symptoms http://www.pdf.org/en/symptoms . It would be my suggestion that your husband makes an appointment to see a Movement Disorder Specialist. They can be found at most university hospitals, and the bigger hospitals around the country.
For your husbands sake I hope it is not Parkinson's. If it is, know that the diagnosis is not a death sentence. With proper medication he can continue to lead a good life for a long time. GregD

I am concerned about my father in this respect also. My grandfather & his brother had PD/ my brother has PD and my father had been diagnosed with ET several years ago. Lately he has developed a right thumb tremor, alot more neck & shoulder pain, loss of sensitivity in his finger tips...which has made him occasionally drop things. Also, urinary frequency and constipation (like me). What do you all think? Should I encourage him to see a physician about it...Four months ago I mentioned something to his VA doctor ..he said ... He doesn't have PD...so since then 4 more symptoms (above) have popped up.
