Default Trouble getting Diagnosed

I'm so frustrated with going from Doctor to doctor, trying to explain my symptoms to them and having them tell me "it's just stress", only because i'm 38. It's the same.. no matter where i go. Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, NewJersey, Georgia.. The doctors will look at me and smile, or laugh and say "you are too young to have parkinsons". What am i supposed to do? I cant even get a referral to a Neurologist in Savannah, where i am now. For a few years now , i've had this stiffness in my neck, tremors, numbess in my jaw area..numerous things..This incredible pressure in my head (which the doctors always list as "pain"). The only relief i can ever find are drugs which give relief to the central nervous system, and even then, they dont always help..i.e..Xanax. Can anyone give me advice on who will see me? Do i , or should i lie and say that i have "other" symtoms just so i can be seen? I'm just tired of not being taken seriously. I know there is something wrong with me.. If it's not Parkinsons, then i want to know what it is, ..but just because i'm young, i'm always dismissed to fend for myself. I was a cure/or treatment, not the bandaid of other pharmaceuticals to just get me by.
Sincerely,
Frustrated

Default welcome

Hi,

are you saying that your symptoms are from the neck up? And you have a headache? All the time.

Is it on one side of your body or both?

where is your tremor?

What kind of doctors are you seeing?

Have you ever had TMJ of the jaw? [slipped disk]

Do you have any involvement in your extremities? Do you swing both arms evenly? Have a foot that drags?

Your symptoms are different from the "typical" pd that presents itself at the beginning, but i would never tell you you don't have it. Can you tell us more?
I'm not convinced you could have pd yet but my reason is from what you are describing and i am not looking at you - not because you are too young. Bad doctor...bad.....shouldn't have said this. Twenty something pwp are not that uncommon anymore.

good luck and it would help if you told us more.

Default my symptoms

No i have no headaches.. It's a pressure that starts at the back of my head..and goes througout... I really thought that i had a brain tumor...until i was able to finally get a CT scan. Other symptoms....Really stiff neck...Tremors in neck..loss of motor control functions in neck when under stress, Occasional tremors on hands...(fingers will start twitching.... and then the numbess in my jaw area...feels really strange when that starts... but mostly feels like something is just pulling at my upper spine, up through my neck..pulling from the back of my head at the base of the skull. Dr. tries to give me muscle relaxers which of course dont work for the neck, but just make me really tired and dragged down. I cant stand the cold.. I didn't know that was a Parkinsons symptom until recently. When i really have to focus on something ..i.e..like when someone takes my picture..or the doctor puts that shines that light in my eyes.. I start shaking(my neck) anyway...It's getting to where, even when i go to put in my contact lenses that i start getting shaky.
