Just saw this...have not seen the actual website from Xcell, though, would be very interesting to actually talk to someone who's been there. Here's the link:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/201002...b/prweb3566214 IMHO, the bulk of the favorable reports are attributable to the new technology they began using in 2009, where they put the cells into the brain instead of just injecting them into the spine. I don't remember seeing many, if any, glowing reports of Xcell for PD before they began this new transplant procedure. I've been there. The XCell Center claims 60% success for theis treatment. I underwent the treatment in June 2010. It seems that I belong to the 40%. I still have to take the medication.
There seems to be less tremor in the right hand, but during "off times" walking is extremely difficult. I'll wait for an improvement in the technique before trying another treatment |
