Aunt Bean,

The dopamine level may not be the measure of the efficacy of your medicine rather the essence itself may prove valuable. I know of a british homeopath who does extensive research in homeopathic materia medica...will send him an email. also am wondering about fermenting the fava pod juice... -md

Somewhere along the line, it might be worthwhile testing the addition of grapefruit juice to the mix and see if it benefits from the inhibition of the enzymes.

Another possibility would be the addition of ginger. It is having an impressive effect for me. If you want to prove it to yourself, take a dose along with sinemet. Prepare for dose-dependent dyskinesias! Then taper back.

Aunt Bean is allergic to citrus...so grapefruit is out for me....my patient says she doesn't use grapefruit juice either. I could try ginger as an addition to the fermented papaya though. Right now am using my last batch of it from the fridge (not adding salt & ground flax and dehydrating it) Works fine. Just put 2 Tbs in my cereal in the morning.

Well, we finally got the greenhouse up and covered last week. My herbs have moved out from the kitchen where they did not have enough light. Also have planted a small row of bush beans, yellow squash, cucumbers, zuchini and cantalope...spot ready to plant watermellon on Saturday (By the moon signs) The garden was finally plowed and is to be disked and tilled today.....a miracle in itself...hard to find a farmer who is free when the soil is dry enough to work!!
Thanks for prayers for my grandson. He got to go home for a couple of days from his luekemia treatments at the hospital... more severe treatments start on Friday ...so keep lifting up Owen....he is so sweet . Will try to plant a large amount of fava beans on Saturday.....Lord willing. Blessings to you all Aunt Bean

I am not going into business...just know there is a need for them and I am still experimenting. I consider the fava pod juice to be about as efficient as the fava tops tincture. The more I play with fava sprout tincture, the more I don't feel the amount of l-dopa gained from a month of shaking the jar is a good as sprouting the seeds steaming and eating a certain amount each day (just soak them overnight and rinse and sprout them for three days...they will have "tails". Then, peel rinse and steam the 8 minutes...
they are ready to just eat or throw in with stir-fried garlic and onions and enjoy about
8 to 10 of them (for me)....you may need more or less. I think this is my favorite way to have l-dopa. The fava tops tincture is really great to have in your pocket to take anytime symptoms arrise
