The farm is going well. The last favas planted are coming up now and it will soon be time to collect tops from the ones planted a couple of months ago.. Have started transplanting tomatoes, etc in the greenhouse and getting it ready for a church group visit for the reading/ reinactment of the book of Ruth (old Testament) for our barley
harvest. It will be a good trial bus shuttle run for Tues June 19th when we have our natural Therapies Event here in E. TN. Looking forward to maybe meeting some of you face to face finally if you come for that event. God Bless

Hi eveeryone...the farm is looking great...dad spent hrs riding a kabota with tiller the other day before wonderful rains came....we are ready now to plant summer vegies...so hungry for fresh green beans especially!
Hope some of you will be able to come to our Natural Therapies Event in East TN
June 19th. Peg Leg promised this morning to get it posted on this site. Look forward to meeting you here and perhaps some at the PD Recovery Summit in Cinci the end of that week. God is good....the favas are growing well despite very hot draught conditions before our curent blessed rains. Should be able to start picking tops the end of this week for tincture. Blessing to all ..... Aunt Bean

Default How do I make fermented papaya chips?

Hi there,

I would like to make this for my Dad. I need to make a bunch at a time and take it to him. What do I need to do this? Do I need to buy a rehydrator or something? Please advise.

Thanks,
Shar

I have dopa responsive dystonia and have been in the hospital twice this year with vomiting and barely able to eat. My liver enzymes are off and some other bloodwork.

I am very interested in your farm and fava beans. Where are you located in TN? We are in the Carolinas.

Thank you and we will pray for your grandson and your family.

Default Dehydrator question

Hi there,

So I am buying a dehydrator so that I can make fava chips/fermented papaya for my Dad?

Could you guide me as to where I can find the instructions for how to make the chips/papaya?

I have no idea how to make them.

Thanks in advance!

Shar

I am still collecting the tops I use for tincture. Had to throw one whole pickiing away after the cold spell hit while we were iin Ohio visiting my brother with PD, who, by the way is currently in the hospital with double pnuemonia and pretty weak from it all. If you have flowers/ you have tincture tops....dry them ,except anything that is black on the part and put them in brandy and shake for a month...you have l- dopa!
We are busy cllearing out the neighbors 80 foot greenhouse to get it ready to move....still don't know how to do the moving as yet...maybe "house movers"????
made my first cold frame of the year this morning, mulching asparagus, staying busy!!
Hope you all are staying warm and not letting the business of the holidays get to you....
too many things are pilling up on our calendar for my taste....it all comes flying at you at once.....sometimes I wonder....Where is Peace in the holiday season....seems the garden is the only place where it is quiet and a person can just breathe for a while!
Blessings to all Aunt Bean PS ....Take time to just breathe!

You will need a dehydrater to make chips I mix about 3 TBS of ground flax seeds into the ferment with agae syrup to sweetnen (to taste) stir / let stand 5-10 min and drop by spoonfuls on parchment paper on trays and dry
I am now just putting the ferment in the refrigerater and placing a TBS on my morning cereal
