Hi Everyone
I got some good news yesterday..We got the results from my brothers biopsy, and there was no cancer..no problems whatsoever!..Thank You all for your thoughts, concerns, and prayers It was a busy parkie week for me..I was invited to Congressman Jim Langevins press conference on Tuesday morning, and gave a short speech on what the passing of stem cell legislation means to the Parkinsons community..I was nervous for 3 days..but on Tuesday morning a couple of my support group members showed up to support me, and one of them, Don has a raging sense of humor, and that broke the ice.. ..He cracks jokes about his gambling addiction when he was on Mirapex, and says the he would go to the casino and says it was frustrating because he could shake the dice but he couldnt throw them.. ..Anyway it was hard to be serious with him there, which was great!..And our other group member, Bruce, who is the groups facilitator help me out alot when I attended my very first meeting there..So it was a good experience for me and one as a PAN Coordinator that I certainly needed..We were on 3 local news channels, and the local newspapers Went to my support group meeting this morning and our new ADPA Community Outreach Coordinator was the speaker and she is certainly a gift to our community, and a great new addition..One of our group members had DBS surgery in December, and he is a new man..Truly remarkable!!..He looks great and his gate and posture have changed so much that he would make very noticable before and after pictures..He will be the speaker at next months meeting I called to make reservations at the hotel for the PAN Forum and was told that they were filled on Thursday the 18th..So I e-mailed Monica Billger to see if there is an alternative plan How was your week? Picture of the week..Congressman Langevins press conference

Steve,
Glad to hear about your brother. That has to be a big weight off your shoulders. You've made the big time now with your picture in the paper. Can we still call you Steve or is it Mr. Mederios now?? Keep up the good work!!! GregD |

You are all incorrect ...ahem...it's the honorable gentleman from Rhode Island, Mr. Steve Medeiros. Should we send them his pictures of Bush to hang in the background of his next picture?
